The release of the Draft Environmental Impact Statement for the proposed PolyMet copper-nickel mine near Babbitt has been delayed, the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources has announced.
The Draft EIS was schedule to appear last week, but the DNR says editing of one of the document’s three chapters by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers has delayed the process. The DNR’s statement on the matter is HERE.
The DNR expects to release the document during the first part of this week.
