This September, get an inside look at Minnesota’s only National Park and help park rangers complete important conservation projects. Voyageur’s National Park is hosting its 2012 Volunteer Rendezvous on September 7 and 8, and nature lovers of all ages are invited to sign up for one or both days. Canoes and other activities will be provided–fall is a great time to explore the park.

This year’s projects could include trail clearing at Black Bay Trail, maintenance and garden work at the Rainy Lake Visitor Center ethnobotanical garden, and planting native trees and foliage along the park’s new bike trail. Park staff will provide all the tools you need and the training to use them. To celebrate your hard work, the Park will host a dinner on Saturday at the Sha Sha Resort.

Read more about the weekend HERE, or download a registration for HERE (pdf). Lodging is on your own, and rooms are on hold at the Thunderbird Lodge and camping options are also available.
