The Namakan River Dam environmental assessment report has been delayed.
The report, once set for release by the end of July or early August, will detail the environmental and economic impacts of a power project proposed for the Namakan River by the Ojibway Power & Energy Group (OPEG). According to OPEG officials, there have been delays getting through the EA process.
Once the report is complete, it will be subject to a 60-day public review period, as reported HERE, in Wilderness News.
