Promoting Geo-Tourism on the Agenda in International Falls

The international partnership of people, groups, and agencies involved in the public lands of northern Minnesota and northwestern Ontario are hosting an industry-wide conference in International Falls on March 10. The Heart of the Continent Partnership‘s “Tourism and Recreation Summit” is free and open to anyone.

The Heart of the Continent coalition launched its new Travel the Heart online map and guide to the region last year, and the summit will include training on using the site to share stories, places, and events.

There will also be an “afternoon discussion of how to strengthen our efforts to promote geo-tourism across the Heart of the Continent.”

The event takes place during the two-day HOCP science symposium also taking place in International Falls.
