Voyageurs National Park is inviting public comments on a reservation system and fee structure it is considering for the park’s interior campsites on the Kabetogama Peninsula. Park officials say a reservation system would better guarantee campsite availability.
A media release detailing the fee structure and its rationale can be found HERE.
Fees from the program would go toward maintaining the campsites and the boats that are associated with some of the sites as well as toward supporting the reservation system.
Public comment on the proposal opened on Monday. The public may leave comments regarding these proposed fees and the reservation system at 218-283-6708.
Park officials ask that commenters be specific about concerns or questions.
