20,000 Plan to Attend Canoecopia in Madison, Wisconsin

March 8-10 are the dates for one of the world’s biggest paddlesport shows, Rutabaga’s Canoecopia. Hundreds of vendors and dozens of presenters converge on the Alliant Energy Center and for three days to entertain, teach and sell, the virtues, skills, history and gear of canoeists and kayakers.

From bear-proofing a campsite to the life and legacy of Aldo Leopold, Don Easley, Darlene Patterson, Cliff Jacobson, Stuart Osthoff, Steven Nelson, Mona Schroeder-Beers, Jim Pfitzer. John Bates, Larry Ricker and Dave Morlock are all making presentations that may be of interest to Quetico Superior Wilderness enthusiasts.

Tickets are $15 a day for adults, free for guests under 17. More details are available at the Canoecopia web site.
